Sudden Hail in Philadelphia
It was a warm, sunny day today. I heard a crack of lightning and figured a storm was coming… a minute later, huge hail poured out of the sky without warning. I grabbed my camera and took a quick video out a window overlooking a black roof. All the white spots are big chunks of ice:


Wow that there is some big hail
I live in South Jersey, so not too far from Philly. Maybe two years ago around this time we had some incredible hail. So much came down it was as if someone took a tractor trailer full of mothball sized hail and used it like a giant ‘salt shaker’ in front of our house. It was unreal. This is nothing for areas in the middle of the country, they can get hail so large that their cars end up looking like someone took a hammer to them. But in South Jersey, first time I ever saw hail so large.
