WP Review Site allows site visitors to leave reviews on a WordPress-powered site while rating items on a scale of 1 to 5 stars across several dimensions. It work with any WordPress theme and provides the ability to display average ratings, sorts posts by weighted average rating, adds sidebar widgets and provides tools for affiliate marketing.

WP Review Site is a plugin for WordPress 2.6 or later. 2.8 or later is required for full functionality. There’s nothing notable about the design except a Bayes-theorem inspired formula for weighting average ratings when sorting posts — it takes the number of ratings into account so that a single five star rating won’t jump to the top.

WP Review Site is based on DG Review Site, a plugin I released under a Creative Commons license in 2007. That lives on under several forks including “SB Review Site” and “Ratings Dominator”. WP Review Site is commercially licensed and comes with lifetime technical support and upgrades.

In March of 2010, I sold the rights to the WP Review Site software on the Flippa marketplace.
