I provided the first freely available PHP interface to the OpenCalais semantic analysis web service. Calais takes text or HTML input and identifies facts, entities and relationships from that text through natural language analysis. I used this PHP5 class to offer the first two WordPress plugins to enable automatic tagging of posts and pages using the Calais web service, WP Calais Auto Tagger and WP Calais Archive Tagger.
