Spooky visitor labeling

Hi Sara, Brian and Zach.

This “visitor labeling” feature I’ve been working on is kinda spooky, isn’t it?

Click one of the screenshots for a full size preview. By simply picking up your names from the cookie WordPress sets after you post a comment, W3Counter is able to build a profile of your usage of this site across multiple sessions, IP addresses, browsers, operating systems, even clearing of the W3Counter tracking cookies in most cases. I’m making use of some nice script.aculo.us and Prototype effects to bring it up in a draggable, floating overlay on the Live View pages rather than breaking you out of that mode into a new page.

Still a few kinks to work out, but that’s almost ready to go out. I’ll integrate the labeling into the WordPress plugin I’ll be putting out to automatically add the tracking code to a blog for the less technically inclined. It’d be even more wicked for a forum. Maybe a vBulletin mod is in order.
