It’s interesting working at a global corporation for a while. Half my product team is in the US, half is in India, and more are being hired in China. It’s something else to be in a live meeting, looking at and discussing the exact same lines of code on our screens, while hearing the traffic of busy India in the background half the world away. It’s late night here (and I’m flicking the “lighting override” switch outside my office every half hour to keep the lights from shutting off), and the Indian developers are drinking their morning coffee. If only it wasn’t my Saturday night, I’d be enjoying these meetings.
