My team at Microsoft celebrated the end of the fiscal year with a trip to a lodge on Snoqualmie Falls. Three limos arrived at the office to pick us up in the morning for a drive through mountain scenery to the lodge on top of the falls. There, we had a 5-course brunch, followed by a walk to an observation deck overlooking the falls. I ordered a camera from woot.com last week but it isn’t here yet, so these are from my cell phone. Photo set at flickr.

Those are some amazingly great photos considering you took it with your cellphone’s camera. I’m glad to see you took my advice and got yourself a camera (whether it was my advice you took or not). Can’t wait to see some of the snapshots you take with it. Was it the Vivitar 8.1MP?

Yep, that’s the one. Same camera Woot’s been trying to off for more than a year now (originally at $259). I know it’s relatively crappy, but if I can get decent photos for the web out of a 1.2 megapixel cell phone, the Vivitar should more than meet my needs. I’m not making art here, just snapping shots of places I go
